Job Description
As a Backend Java Developer at ChenMed, you’ll join the ChenTech team, contributing to full-stack application development, system integration, coding, testing, documentation, and support. This role requires strong experience with Java, microservices architecture, and Agile methodologies. You will play a key role in delivering scalable, high-quality solutions for internal systems and healthcare platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and support software solutions
- Develop and integrate RESTful microservices using Java and Spring MVC
- Collaborate on best practices across the full SDLC in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Perform code reviews and maintain unit testing/code coverage
- Work on SPA (Single Page Applications) and web application development
- Document processes and maintain process flow documentation
- Participate in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices
Required Skills
- Expertise in Java, Spring MVC Framework
- Experience developing microservices with REST APIs
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Object-oriented design and test-driven development (TDD)
- Experience writing SQL procedures, functions, views, and triggers
- Full-stack experience using JavaScript and front-end tools is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Java and JavaScript
- SQL Server database modeling and relational DB design
- Prior experience with healthcare applications is a plus
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Fluent in English
