Job Description

As a Full Stack Software Engineer II, you’ll be working on the Sony Engagement Platform, developing secure, scalable web applications and RESTful APIs that support digital engagement across Sony’s entertainment ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and take part in shaping the future of fan experiences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RESTful API endpoints with performance and scalability in mind
  • Build dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly front-end applications
  • Manage data models and database schemas (relational and NoSQL)
  • Document application architecture and maintain configuration standards
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency support

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software development with complex codebases
  • Full stack development experience
  • Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
  • Front-end expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, Ember, or TypeScript
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of UI/UX best practices

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with AWS and cloud-native services
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible
  • Agile development experience (SAFe, Scrum)
  • Strong problem-solving and code documentation skills
