Zelis is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Healthcare Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in SQL, Excel, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies to analyze complex claim data, generate actionable insights, and support decision-making across the organization. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate claim processing, optimizing contract performance, and delivering impactful data solutions that enhance the healthcare financial experience for payers, providers, and consumers.

What You’ll Do
- Analyze and interpret healthcare claim data to inform decision-making and contract performance.
- Work directly with SQL tables; build queries (SELECT, JOINs, CTEs, subqueries).
- Leverage Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Apply knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial reimbursement methodologies.
- Create visualizations/dashboards (Tableau experience a plus).
- Communicate insights to sales, client-facing teams, and clients.
- Support ad hoc and time-sensitive analytics requests; ensure privacy standards compliance.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of healthcare data analysis experience; 1+ year in reimbursement methodologies.
- Proficient SQL (SELECT, JOINs, CTE, subqueries); strong Excel.
- Clear written and verbal communication; stakeholder collaboration.
- Organization, time management, and ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Initiative, problem-solving, and strategic thinking with tactical execution.
- Bonus: Tableau, financial modeling, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
