Job Overview
The Travelers Data Engineering team builds pipelines that simplify enterprise-wide access to contextualized data. As a Data Engineer II, you will drive innovation, support AI/ML initiatives, and develop scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and operationalize complex data solutions and transformations
- Design and test robust data architectures
- Recommend and implement data cleansing and quality processes
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sources
- Collaborate across teams to deliver data solutions and educate end users
- Incorporate data governance, security, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data defects and issues
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Ab Initio
- Strong skills in Python, Spark, PySpark, and SQL
- Deep understanding of modern data engineering and software development practices
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
