
As a Junior Data Engineer in Sonepar, you will support our data infrastructure by collecting, integrating, and managing data from various sources. You’ll help ensure data quality, develop ETL processes, collaborate with senior team members, and maintain documentation for knowledge sharing.

- Gather, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with data providers to understand data structures and requirements.
- Maintain and optimize databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to automate workflows.
- Monitor ETL/ELT jobs and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with senior data engineers and participate in code reviews.
- Document processes, workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- 0–4 years of experience in data engineering or related fields (internships or academic projects acceptable).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- No visa sponsorship provided (H-1B, TN, STEM OPT not eligible).
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure).
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (FiveTran, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, PySpark).
- Understanding of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
