Job Description
As a Data Analyst on the Corporate Profit By Line (PBL) team at Progressive, you’ll ensure accuracy and consistency in the data used for management reports determining profitability by product line. You’ll manage allocation processes, conduct reconciliations, and provide insights to leadership. Responsibilities include:
- Support daily/monthly processes for financial data accuracy
- Coordinate cost center allocations and investigate discrepancies
- Generate and manage financial reports and system updates
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting for leadership
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of analytical experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years of analytical experience
- OR Bachelor’s in a quantitative field
- OR Completion of Progressive Analyst Boot Camp and Internal Trainee program
- Online pre-employment testing required for external candidates
Preferred Skills
- Completion of Principles of Accounting I & II or Financial Accounting I & II
- Excel (vlookups, pivots, macros)
- Ability to analyze large data sets
- Quick learner with strong communication skills
