Patterson Dental is seeking a Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain data applications that support critical business goals. This position offers the flexibility of remote work with hybrid expectations (2 days in-office weekly) for those located within 50 miles of Mendota Heights, MN, or Loveland, CO.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop database functionality.
- Research, define, develop, and document data specifications and deliverables.
- Monitor and optimize database design and performance.
- Develop and test applications to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Deploy database changes through environments into production.
- Conduct code reviews based on best practices.
- Provide support for bugs, escalations, and data issues.
- Recommend and adopt new technologies and best practices.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of data engineering, data applications, or data science experience.
- Solid understanding of data engineering and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and research skills related to data systems.
Preferred
- Experience with Postgres (v12+), SQL Server, and SAP SQL Anywhere.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (including Git).
- Programming knowledge in Powershell, Batch, or C# with Visual Studio/VS Code.
- Knowledge of cloud, web, and mobile delivery approaches.
