Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and model data requirements based on business needs
- Design & develop scalable data models and ETL processes
- Translate data strategy into repeatable and extensible architecture
- Implement solutions using DBT, SQL, and modern cloud tools
- Monitor and manage job dependencies and platform health
- Collaborate with BAs, PMs, and distributed technical teams
- Ensure high data quality, consistency, and governance using tools like Monte Carlo or Atlan
- Contribute to knowledge base, tech documentation, and team best practices
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in ETL and data engineering roles
- Strong SQL skills and data warehouse knowledge
- Hands-on with DBT, cloud services (AWS – RDS, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS), and data validation
- Experience in Python, Java, or other scripting languages
- Linux/Unix command line experience
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools: Tableau, QuickSight, etc.
- Familiar with Spark, Databricks, Pentaho, and R
Preferred Experience:
- Financial markets background
- Familiar with Agile development and CI/CD best practices
- Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Atlan, Monte Carlo)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
