The In App Browser team at Meta is building one of the most widely used web browsers within mobile applications. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will work on a custom Chromium-based browser engine and contribute to improvements in stability, performance, and standards implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Chromium into Meta’s mobile apps
  • Work with product/design to build user experiences
  • Improve browser stability and performance
  • Implement new APIs and web features
  • Build reusable software components
  • Lead design and security planning for mobile browsers
  • Profile and optimize performance across the stack

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years in web browser development
  • C++ programming experience
  • Experience with large code bases and cross-platform development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rust programming knowledge
  • Experience with Chromium/Blink
  • Mobile development (Android/iOS)
  • Proposing and contributing to web standards
