Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining batch data pipelines on AWS and Snowflake using SQL and Python.
  • Help with structured and semi/unstructured data ingestion.
  • Monitor data jobs, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when needed.
  • Perform data quality checks, cleansing, normalization, and tokenization.
  • Create and maintain tables, views, and data models.
  • Write basic queries for analysts and validate outputs against source data.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow CI/CD practices.
  • Collaborate with analytics, data science, and engineering teams.
  • Support data housekeeping and infrastructure tasks.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS.

Preferred

  • Experience with Mercury Insurance systems.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
