
The Department for Libraries and Archives is hiring a Data Analyst to serve as the state data coordinator for the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and publishing library-related data, supporting strategic decisions for public library services across Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit annual Public Library Survey (PLS) to IMLS
- Publish Kentucky’s Statistical Report of Public Libraries
- Support libraries in understanding and submitting data
- Conduct training sessions on data usage, library statistics, and tech
- Evaluate library grant applications and monitor progress
- Perform tax rate calculations for library districts
- Ensure compliance with data confidentiality and security requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree OR associate degree in IT-related field OR certification in IT
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT data analysis
- Master’s degree in computer science can substitute for 1 year of experience
- Additional experience can substitute for education
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with library or public records data
- Strong communication and training delivery skills
- Proficiency in statistical reporting and analysis tools
