- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances.
- Monitor and optimize database performance (queries, indexes, stored procedures).
- Design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security and manage user access and permissions.
- Perform audits, troubleshoot issues, and provide on-call support as needed.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize schemas and queries.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, SOPs, and procedures.
- Support high availability solutions including clustering, mirroring, and log shipping.
- Implement automation for routine tasks using scripts or tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2 years of IT experience, including 2 years as a SQL DBA.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience with backup/recovery models, clustering, replication, and query optimization.
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Strong communication and client interaction skills.
- Experience working in a global delivery model with onsite/offshore resources.
- Strong planning, coordination, and analytical abilities.
