The Data Analyst I will play a key role in supporting business operations by analyzing data, identifying trends, developing reports, and delivering actionable insights that enhance the quality of Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles. This role involves working with cross-functional and global teams to monitor quality issues, analyze external quality indicators, and escalate emerging quality cases.

About the Team
Hyundai’s North America Quality Center (NAQC) is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)’s North American vehicle models. NAQC drives Hyundai’s mission to become the leading automotive manufacturer in North America by delivering uncompromising quality and exceeding consumer expectations.
- Analyze internal and external data to identify automotive quality problems and deliver clear problem statements for investigation.
- Utilize text mining tools for topic generation and data enrichment.
- Maintain dashboards, reporting systems, and performance metrics that support decision-making.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and insights to support company goals.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Investigation and New Model Teams to drive quality improvements.
- Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 0-3 years of data analysis experience, including forecasting models.
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python and/or R.
- Familiarity with data preparation, text mining, and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Automotive engineering experience and knowledge of vehicle systems.
- Experience analyzing automotive survey data.
- Familiarity with Alteryx and Tableau.
