About the Role
As a Data Engineer Manager at EY, you will lead teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines, primarily using AWS and Databricks technologies. Your leadership will support enterprise data initiatives in the Industrials & Energy sector, enabling data quality, troubleshooting, and advanced analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize ETL pipelines and data architectures adhering to business goals
- Build new integrations using AWS native tools to handle growing data volume and complexity
- Define and validate data requirements from structured and unstructured sources
- Implement data quality monitoring, reconciliation, and troubleshooting processes
- Lead evaluation and deployment of emerging analytic data engineering tools
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI/ML engineers to create data products
- Mentor and coach data engineering teams, promoting standards and innovation
- Drive adoption of continuous integration and delivery practices to improve automation and code quality
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field
- 5+ years in software development, data engineering, ETL, and analytics reporting
- 2+ years experience managing and mentoring data engineering teams
- Strong experience with Python, Pyspark, AWS services (Lambda, S3, DMS, etc.)
- Experience with distributed data technologies and relational SQL databases
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Databricks, and GitHub
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced and globally distributed team environments
