Job Description
As a Software Engineer on the Accounts & Billing team, you’ll work on backend services supporting user management, payments, and secure authorization. You’ll collaborate with teams to build scalable, secure systems and gain hands-on experience in modern cloud technologies and development tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy backend components for EVgo’s platform
- Work cross-functionally to improve the customer experience
- Learn best practices in scalable, secure software development
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Troubleshoot production issues with senior engineers
- Gain experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD tools
Qualifications
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Node.js or Python (or willingness to learn)
- Strong programming and software design fundamentals
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and cloud services like AWS
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks (a plus)
Desired Skills
- Experience with authentication, identity, or payment systems
- Knowledge of GraphQL, caching, serverless
- Understanding of RBAC or ReBAC models
- Computer Science degree preferred but not required
