Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with researchers and team members to build scalable data pipelines and analytics frameworks.
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows and high-integrity data sets across disparate systems.
- Apply biomedical informatics standards—ensure strong compliance with HIPAA and institutional data policies.
- Innovate with emerging technologies and assist in pilot projects.
- Maintain detailed metadata documentation, governance protocols, and technical guides.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant data engineering experience
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, Apache Spark, Airflow
- Solid understanding of data pipeline and ETL systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in academic or clinical research data environments
- Hands‑on with Synapse Serverless SQL pools, Databricks, Spark
- Knowledge of HIPAA, compliance approaches, and data governance frameworks
- Expertise in metadata documentation and biomedical informatics methodologies
