Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with researchers and team members to build scalable data pipelines and analytics frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows and high-integrity data sets across disparate systems.
  • Apply biomedical informatics standards—ensure strong compliance with HIPAA and institutional data policies.
  • Innovate with emerging technologies and assist in pilot projects.
  • Maintain detailed metadata documentation, governance protocols, and technical guides.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant data engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, Apache Spark, Airflow
  • Solid understanding of data pipeline and ETL systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in academic or clinical research data environments
  • Hands‑on with Synapse Serverless SQL pools, Databricks, Spark
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, compliance approaches, and data governance frameworks
  • Expertise in metadata documentation and biomedical informatics methodologies
