- Create and modify database schemas, write SQL code, and implement database structures.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize queries, and implement indexing strategies.
- Implement security measures such as encryption and access controls.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including backups, upgrades, and patching.
- Collaborate with software engineers and system engineers to integrate database systems.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues (performance, connectivity, data integrity).
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 0–2 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance (active TS/SCI with Poly preferred).
- Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and management.
- Experience with logical and physical data modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database services.
