Position Overview
This Data Analyst role is a remote position within the United States. You will be part of Abbott Diabetes Care’s data science team, responsible for developing and deploying advanced analytics solutions to uncover insights from complex datasets. The role involves working with distributed teams, leveraging big data technologies, and applying machine learning techniques to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to build and maintain data infrastructure for reporting and analytics.
- Collect, clean, and analyze datasets to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms to optimize business performance.
- Create dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Databricks, and QuickSight.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with HIPAA and GDPR regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, and Quality teams.
- Stay current with emerging data science technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analysis, data visualization, and machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python, R, Scala, and SQL.
- Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and visualization tools.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a data-related field.
- Experience in healthcare or medical device industries.
- Knowledge of data governance, integration, and ETL processes.
- Agile project environment experience.
