
MedImpact is seeking a senior Data Engineer (Data Engineer III) to design, build, and operate enterprise-grade data pipelines, data warehouse artifacts, and Power BI reporting solutions that turn raw healthcare and pharmacy data into trusted analytics and business insight. This remote-friendly role emphasizes Azure/Snowflake cloud skills, advanced SQL/ETL experience, and strong Power BI report development.
- Salary: Up to $130k/ yr (Expected)
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise data pipelines and data warehouse objects to support analytics and reporting.
- Develop complex T-SQL, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and SSRS/Power BI artifacts; author DAX for Power BI reports.
- Build and optimize Power BI dashboards/reports; enable self-service analytics and ensure data accessibility for stakeholders.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and ensure code quality via test-driven development and unit tests.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices, documentation, and operational excellence.
- Advanced SSIS development, strong ETL/ELT experience, and deep SQL Server expertise.
- Proven Power BI experience (Power BI Desktop, Service, Report Builder) and competency writing complex DAX queries.
- Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms including Azure and Snowflake; Python proficiency preferred.
- Excellent communication skills; proven ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Azure Data Engineer certification.
- Experience with real-time streaming, healthcare standards (HL7, X12), and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience with Python for data automation and orchestration.
Salary Range: $95,717 – $132,808 – $169,898 (USD)
