Job Summary
The Data Engineer II role involves building and maintaining big data pipelines, identifying valuable data, and collaborating with data scientists to design and deploy innovative solutions that align with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.
- Design logical and physical data models to optimize data storage and usability.
- Collaborate with data scientists to deliver production-ready datasets.
- Stay current with distributed systems technologies and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, team design discussions, and operational improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues, ensuring long-term maintainability.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of data engineering experience OR HS/GED + 4 years of data engineering experience.
- 1+ year of SQL experience.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and report data to improve processes and outcomes.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing REST APIs.
- Hands-on Azure application deployment experience.
- Background in Databricks, Spark, Python, and distributed systems.
Compensation
Salary Range: $98,600 – $157,500 (Salaried)
