- Design, implement, test, and debug software components for cloud, mobile, desktop or security products.
- Participate in code reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and unit/ integration tests; assist with QA and debugging activities.
- Support product lifecycle activities including requirements, documentation, and deployments.
- Learn and apply Cisco best practices around security, scalability and performance.
- Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment (expected completion within 12 months) of a certification or degree program OR HS diploma with experience as listed in the posting (see official listing for full rules).
- Proficiency in at least one language: C/C++, Python, or Java. Recent coursework, projects or work experience within the last 12 months required.
- Experience with QA, testing or debugging in academic, project, or work settings.
- Legal authorization to work in the country of application without employer sponsorship.
- Knowledge of Linux, operating systems, networking fundamentals, embedded development, or ML concepts.
- Familiarity with databases, web services, and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
