
The Associate Data Engineer is responsible for developing and deploying data services, including BI tools, integrations, reports, and other data configuration procedures between client IT systems and EAB technology. This role collaborates with project and product development teams to implement data pipelines, manage partner relationships, and ensure high standards of quality, satisfaction, and engagement throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy data extraction procedures in collaboration with partners.
- Recommend preferred data integration methodologies to leadership.
- Identify and overcome project barriers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work with project managers to meet implementation timelines.
- Conduct product integration exercises to benefit EAB’s data integration efforts.
- Build strong relationships with technical and non-technical client staff.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement to advance business goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 0–1+ years’ experience in data extraction, mapping, transformation, and loading.
- Client-facing experience implementing software solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Proven project ownership, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and buy-in facilitation abilities.
- Valid US driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 15% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWS cloud operations.
- Basic understanding of network engineering, especially hybrid architectures.
- 1–3 years in higher education admissions data operations.
- Experience using Python pandas for data transformation.

Compensation
Anticipated starting salary range: $60,000 – $80,000 annually. Actual salary may vary based on relevant experience, skills, and location. It is uncommon for new hires to start at the top of the salary range.
