Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with predictive modeling, actuaries, and business experts to build data products aligned with business needs.
- Design, implement, test, validate, and monitor ETL pipelines and data products.
- Prepare and transform data for analytics solutions.
- Develop, containerize, and monitor data pipelines using cloud-based tools.
- Adhere to enterprise data governance and management standards.
- Stay current on emerging data engineering tools, techniques, and platforms aligned with business domains.
Qualifications – Required
- 2+ years in a data engineering role in business environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS technologies: Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, S3, EC2, PySpark.
- Infrastructure management experience using Terraform.
- Familiarity with version control and GitOps tools (GitHub, GitLab).
- Proficiency in Python (and optionally SAS).
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
- Experience processing Life/Health insurance data.
- Familiarity with model-building lifecycle.
- Terraform or other automation orchestration experience.
- AWS certification is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary range: $90,000 – $105,000 (based on experience)
- Yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
- Standard 38.45-hour work week with work-life balance
