Key Responsibilities:
- Improve the entire lifecycle of ads systems from design to deployment and operations.
- Ensure global service availability across multiple data centers.
- Build tools and software to improve system scalability and reliability.
- Monitor latency, uptime, and overall service health.
- Practice sustainable incident response and create detailed postmortems.
- Participate in global on-call rotations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (graduating by end of 2026).
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or Perl.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and IP networking.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with automating operational tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a high sense of ownership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Ads systems or recommendation engine SRE roles.
- Expertise in large-scale distributed system troubleshooting and design.
Salary & Benefits
Base Salary Range (San Jose): $118,657 – $177,000 annually
