Job Description
The Delivery Pricing & Incentives team at Uber builds scalable systems and impactful products powering Uber’s food, grocery, and other delivery operations globally. In this role, you will work across the full tech stack—from backend services and online model serving to offline data pipelines and ML integrations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and high-performance backend systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and scientists to build end-to-end delivery platform experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Implement best practices for code quality, monitoring, and reliability.
- Break down complex problems into scalable solutions.
- Drive decision-making across ambiguous technical challenges.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficient in Java, Golang, C++, or Python.
- Proven experience delivering product features and high-quality code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in system architecture, data engineering, or distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving, algorithmic, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and cross-team collaboration.
- Machine Learning experience is a plus.
Salary Details
- San Francisco: $167,000 – $185,500 per year
- Sunnyvale: $167,000 – $185,500 per year
