Job Description
Figma is growing its Data team and looking for a Data Engineer to scale and maintain data pipelines across their platform. In this role, you will work closely with the Data Science and Infrastructure teams to ensure clean, reliable, and accessible data across the business. You’ll also collaborate with stakeholders in sales, finance, and marketing to build metrics and self-service reporting capabilities that power Figma’s strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines across multiple cloud sources.
- Optimize Figma’s core data models for performance and scale.
- Create reliable foundational datasets for analytics and self-service teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver architecture solutions.
- Establish best practices for data pipeline development and transformation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar field.
- Fluent in SQL and Python.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, and ETL/reverse ETL tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business systems like Salesforce, Stripe, Customer IO, or NetSuite.
- Knowledge of data modeling methodologies.
